I have been teaching Turkish as a second language for more than 10 years now, not officially certified but loving the teaching experience. So when I decided to teach English, a friend who is currently teaching in Tailand, recommended the Academy as a reliable program. I applied and started immediately and am so happy that I did it: It has been such an enagaging and instructive 6 months for me in learning how to teach English, and how to improve my teaching skills for Turkish and getting inspired to learn a new language myself :) Thank you Tefl Academy, for all the useful information and tools all along the program -I received my certificate yesterday and have an amazing resources file with me!

I really enjoyed the Level 5 (168-hour) online program with TEFL Academy. The modules were interesting and informative. The videos were also very helpful. I appreciated the list of resources at the end of each unit, as well as the templates for a CV and cover letter. The quizzes were fair, and you are allowed to retake them. The assignments were relevant and challenging. Even if I needed to resubmit them, I enjoyed the fact that I received personalized feedback on my lesson plans and materials. The only thing that I didn't rate a 5/5 was the fact that you have to submit "tickets" for all of your questions. They do a good job of replying within 24 hours, but not being able to have immediate access to at least technical support was a little frustrating.

I decided to do the TTA course in the hope of enhancing my abilities and knowledge to provide better online classes to my foreign students. The course did just that - made me a better teacher. I am more aware of what my students need and how I can improve their TEFL studies as their teacher.

The assignments are well thought out and provide insight into how to structure a class and get students to answer questions. The assignments can seem intimidating at first, but when you take the time to see what is needed, the objectives become clear. I love the end-of-module quizzes as they are a great opportunity to test yourself and see whether you understand the information provided.

I would recommend the course to all interested in becoming a TEFL teacher. Whether you are interested in giving classes online or travelling overseas to teach, this course provides everything you need to succeed.

I really enjoyed my level 5 online TEFL course. The TEFL academy provided all the information I needed, and also plenty of further reading resources to expand my studies. It was great to be able to complete the course at my own pace, and fit it around other things in my life. Although it was online there was still an opportunity to see other students contributions on forum pages which created more of a community feel. I liked how it gave details about many different scenarios of potential TEFL teaching. Thank you!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Level 5 Diploma Course through the TEFL Academy. The modules were engaging and packed with useful teaching strategies, and the videos were both entertaining and informative. For each assignment, I was given helpful feedback for enhancing my lessons, and the self-paced nature of the course made it easy to work at my own speed. I recently completed my 168-hour level 5 TEFL with The TEFL Academy and am extremely satisfied with the results of my studies. The course is well structured, the learning material is fun and engaging, and feedback on assignments is very helpful. The portal is easy to use, they provide you with plenty of extra resources and their customer service is excellent. I did my TEFL Level 5 diploma between mid-April and mid-June in 2025. Overall, I think the course gave a great introduction and overview into how to teach English as a foreign language, the four key skills, classroom management and other elements important to consider when starting to teach. There was a bit of interaction where you could read other participants' thoughts and ideas in a forum which I found useful, as well as videos with TEFL instructors which made the human connection more prominent.

At times certain parts of the course dragged on a bit and I wish you could find information in the course easier when looking back to review the material, but overall I think the content was very useful and informative for me to learn about TEFL. The assignments also allowed you to apply you knowledge into real tasks and the feedback provided was always structured and clear on what went well and what could be improved. I would definitely recommend this course to those who are complete beginners in TEFL and wish to learn more.
