I found the course to be very complete with a platform that was very easy to navigate in. The topics were not overwhelming at all, so it invited you to finish every lesson in a short period of time.
The topics thtat you have to cover are very useful to improve your teaching skills and also are very helpful to become a more organized teacher. The course also contains valuable information to improve lesson planning and how you develop in the classroom.
I feel completely satisfied with the course and I highly recommend it.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I would dedicate to the course a couple of hours more each day.

Very happy I completed this course with TEFL Academy. After looking extensively online through lots of different courses I found this one to suit my personal needs. During the course I found the content to be useful, clear and have really thorough coverage of the topics. There was support when I needed it during my assignments and the feedback was clear and helpful. I have created a folder of all of the useful links provided throughout which will be highly beneficial when teaching in future - this includes lesson plans, explanation videos, activities for the classroom and helpful tips.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?

With this qualification you can teach anywhere around the world. There is a helpful job support section once you complete the course which can help match you to your dream job

The structure of the course was easy to follow, the units were well connected and very informative. I have gained a lot of knowledge about teaching English in a fun and interactive manner. The tutor's reviews of the written assignments were clear and very well explained. The assignments made me apply the information from the previous lessons, in this way everything was fixed better. I find it incredibly useful to have been given access to multiple websites throughout the course. They will definitely be valuable later.

What would you improve about this program?

I would include a practice hour on teaching English online after the course. I would have been a good opportunity to put into practice the knowledge gained.

I have just finished my online TEFL qualification through The TEFL Academy. The course was easy to navigate and well structured with plenty of exercises and activity. You cannot move onto the next section until the previous is complete and you've passed the end of unit tests; which is really good as you build on the previous units in the next ones.

The tutors marked the assignments really quickly and the feedback from all of them was constructive, in depth and clear. There were never any problems with the online course not working.

So impressed I'm going to do a top up course with them as well.

I would definitely recommend using them if you are looking to get into TEFL teaching.

What was your funniest moment?

The funniest moment was trying out the exercises I had developed with my family. Always good to practice them first as I would have made a real fool of myself in front of a class.

It is a very well structured course and the material is very relevant. The platform is easy to navigate and most of the time you get the support you need in a short time.
I have learnt a lot about teaching and teaching techniques. I am sure it will help me a lot in the process of becoming a good teacher!
All the procedures were very thoroughly explained and in case you want to learn further, a solid variety of links are provided for your own personal development.
I would recommend this course without a doubt!

What would you improve about this program?

Maybe the interaction with the technical support staff and with the tutors after one receives grades and comments for each assignment.

At first, i thought it is going to be boring, but then the more i read the more i want to read more as the content was really captivatingly informative. It covered and taught me everything i would need to be an English teacher. I was lucky for choosing Tefl academy. It was up to par and more than i expected. I would definitely recommend this program to whoever wishes to dive into a whole new experience and opportunities. And make their sight open wide to a new life. In the end, many thanks to the team of tefl academy.

What would you improve about this program?

To offer free of charge pdfs covering the courses. And give/send legalized certificates.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think about the positive experience I had studying through The TEFL Academy, is under-promise and over-deliver! They exceed expectations with marking times and sending the certificate. What impressed me most, was the fact that all instructions were made so clear - especially when it came to assignments. If you do have a query, you simply log a ticket or send an email and you receive a very prompt response. The course content is well organised and concepts are explained very clearly. The TEFL Academy makes this qualification achievable to anyone who are willing to put in the time to do it. I am truly happy I chose The TEFL Academy to do my TEFL qualification!

What would you improve about this program?

Improving this course would be a challenge as it is pretty much perfect! If it could improve, it would probably be to add more videos in the course with tutors explaining concepts.

I had wanted to get my TEFL for a while but was working fulltime and couldn't justify taking time out of work to study fulltime. The course was made extremely easy access, the flexibility for studying around work was key for me. I am so happy that I finally hold my TEFL thanks to TEFL Academy. I strongly recommend this course through TEFL Academy, the way the course is presented and laid out was extremely well done, the course was well balanced with text, video, photos and interactive activities keeping the course engaging and not just full of information.

Why did you choose this program?

Because of geological location; however, the reason I chose this particular program was in part due to it looking more official than the others. On my trip to a foreign country (South Korea), I was told by my friend that I was very knowledgeable about what I knew and wondered how I would do at teaching. With my current job, it made sense with the way the program was laid out.

What did your program provider (or university) assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?

The provider assisted with making me dig deeper into what I already knew about the subjects; on my own, it was up to me to decide mine on topics' materials for every assignment (the provider also assisted in the matter by providing templates). When it came to reviews, the assessor assisted in what I need to improve and what was good, if not great.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

If I had to give advice to someone that wanted this program, it would be to take their time. Although it can be done as quickly as needed, I would recommend them to take their time. Rushing will make them impatient and the longer lessons seem daunting, making one miss the simple things one already knows.

Be prepared to not have reviews on some of the lessons, as it will seem as they are abundant in the beginning.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

An average day, as it is an online course, is, however, the students want it to be. However, I would recommend doing half a lesson in 2 to 3 days, then the other. Even so, that is still pushing it for those who are struggling; spending 1 hr a day may be enough, depending on how much one covers in that hour.

I myself tried to cover a lesson a day; in the beginning, it worked out fine, until you get to the longer lessons; then you have to take into account the assignments, which would take almost a week to perform properly.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

When going abroad, I was fearing that I would not be able to answer the questions that were being asked. But after a while, I felt more comfortable about that.

There are still times I feel I would not have the answer to some questions, but I am comfortable now that, if asked a question I don't know, I could easily answer it with the appropriate response.

Is there any type of information you would like to point out to others?

Yes. I would point out that it would be a good idea to find out what requirements one needs for the teaching job they want. It is important to note that there is paperwork that is needed as well when going abroad that needs to be taken into account. These two things are easily missed in the thought process.

What is your favorite travel memory?

One of my favourite travel memories is when I was in Croatia with a friend and we decided to venture in Bosnia Herzegovina for a few days. We stayed in a crazy hostel, with even crazier owners! They brought us to a rave in a cave which was so much fun. The next day we got to explore Mostar and we also traveled to Sarajevo and did a walking tour. It was so interesting!

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Getting to work for The TEFL Academy has given me opportunity to grow in many different ways. I speak to a range of different people from different places daily which is really interesting and sometimes we do have little chats about where in the world we are! I've also significantly improved my geography, which is handy!

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

My favourite stories are from teachers who teach young learners. The students get so attached to their teachers and they always have gifts from them that the children have made! I love to see the photos also; we often share these on our social media (with consent). It's a good way to show current and future students the opportunities out there when they get their qualifications.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would love to go on our Vietnam internship! I've always wanted to travel to Vietnam because it does look absolutely beautiful, but the internship sounds like a very rewarding one also. Getting to travel the world by also helping those to further their future prospects is an amazing opportunity.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

I think our company is unique in many different ways. Our organization is special because we really do believe in the power of education. We all, in some way or another, have traveled to many different places across the world, and the majority of us have taught also. This gives us a real insight into the actual world of TEFL and the teachers.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Being successful means a lot of different things for different people. I think a successful company really values what they are intending to do, and I believe The TEFL Academy does it in every way. My hope for our organization is that it grows and expands to cover all across the world! Providing a course that helps individuals to further themselves but also to educate others is something that is very special.
