As I arrived everyone was very friendly, both at the home stay and the school. The kids were so geuininly friendly and their smile put a smile on my face. When we went on weekend trips and were not in school I actually missed teaching and being with the kids. The staff couldn't be any nicer and are always there for anything we need, wether translating in class or helping us with creative ideas. It couldnt have been a better experience for a first time teacher, playing games with the children and teaching them at the same time. The students are very enthusiatic and love learning which motivates us teachers even more to come to school with a smile on our faces. Throughout my journey here I have learnt games, languages and people that have diffentely made me view things a diferente way and all for the better. This is without doubt a program and a experience that needs to be done at least once in your life time and after you have done it once you will just want to keep on doing and never leave. I would recommend this program as without doubt a great exprience and high level of professionality throughout the whole stay. I wish I could stay longer and I am definitily going to miss this place more then any place.

If you are looking for a life chaging experience, VP Bali is for you. From meeting the children, to teaching the children, to meeting new friends and travelling Bali... I have enjoyed every single second. The feeling is unexplainable how this whole journey has made me feel, but I feel I have found so much out about myself, the world around me and met amazing life long friends. This has been THE BEST experience of my life. A trip I will never forget. Thank you VP Bali!

This was my first time volunteering and I have loved every minuet When we first arrived at the homestay we were welcomed by the other volunteers who were happy to show us where to eat, drink and shop! The orientation on Sunday was very informative and really prepared us for the following day at school. School is so much fun.. From the moment you arrive the children are so happy to see you and eager to know everything about their new volunteer. You prepare your lesson in advance so you know what youre doing in advance and can get straight into teaching. There are loads of supportive materials in the classroom and on the google drive. The school day goes by soooo quickly as it is so much fun! Social here is great and Thursday nights are definitely something to look forward too!

I have just come to the end of my 6 weeks volunteering with VP bali and loved the whole experience. Would definitely reccommend it if you're wanting to volunteer abroad, I have done a few different projects abroad and this was one of my favourites. I felt like I could really get to know the kids and the VP bali team. The kids are so grateful, eager to learn and always happy to see you. I will miss all the kids and the staff lots and will definitely be back to Bali again in the future!

At first when I went I didn't know what I said yes to - I just did it. And I don't regret anything! Ithas been such a good experience being a volunteer at VP Bali. You get to know the other volunteers so quickly. In school the kids are so interessted in getting to know you and are very willing to learn! I didn't have any previous experience with teaching but that's not a problem. The program helps you finding work sheets, games and things to do with your class, but at the same time they're very open for new ideas! So just be creative - and I'm sure they'll accept it. Another thing is that you have a close relationship with the local coordinators. By living with a local family you get to know the culture and how it is to live in Bali. They're so open minded and you can ask about everything and they'll do their best to answer you. I'll definitely recommend do it! It's amazing! Go start your adventure.

For me it is just totally normal that every child goes to school and gets the eduaction that it needs. But here I just realised that it is not normally and a lot of kids just sell stuff on the street instad of going to school. I'm glad that I'veen could be a little part of Volunteer Bali who just tries to help as good as possible and to change the situation.

I reallly enjoyed to volunteer in this beautiful location- Ubu is just amaying! And I especially enjoyed staying with the other volunteers in a homestay. So in this way I also got to know to the Balinese everyday life which was really intersting for me to see.

So for me it was just the perfect connection between travelling and also doing something good for the community.

I'm thankful for this experience and just sad that I have to leave.

I had an excellent experience with VP Bali. I was very nervous coming in, as had never been a teach before, never mind an ESL teacher. However, the staff was very helpful in making me feel comfortable and in providing resources. It was helpful having a co-teacher to provide feedback and bounce ideas off of. The accommodations were nice. The host families were so friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed working with the local coordinators to learn about the culture and about how the kids learn. The program definitely benefits the kids and the community as a whole.

Here I am in a country far far away where everything is so different from back home. The students, staff, culture, and people of Bali have embraced me and opened their arms like I was a family member. Everyday, I went to class and the students would run out and leave "love notes" on the board for me. It showed me that I was making a impact on these kids and they will never understand the impact they had me. While the kids taught me about their lives in Bali the staff also immersed us into the Balinese way. The staff was also available for my late messages asking questions about class and the coordinators were the perfect liaison to help me relay task and assignments to the students. We were able to learn Balinese dance, and ceremony culture and attend ceremonies for the schools. It was an all encompassing program that not only taught but showed you the Bali way of life.
