Learning TEFL level 5 was very enjoyable but demanding, requiring time, focus, and dedication. It's a practical, didactic, and up-to-date course.
The platform is well organised into 10 content modules that follow a logical sequence, with practical exercises, resources, and a final test to validate your knowledge that you can repeat several times until you reach a 70% pass rate.

There are 3 major assessments throughout the course, and for any questions or clarifications, there is the support of a tutor who answers objectively and on the same day. Any questions the student may have are answered quickly and in good time by the academy's incredible professionals and technicians.

We only have access to the TEFL Academy platform for up to 6 months, then we lose access, which in my case, with full availability for the course, I was only able to finish in 5 months, 5 hours a day, because there are a lot more than 165 hours, these hours only include the part of acquiring knowledge, learning the content, but there is a whole part of studying, and taking the 3 assessment tests to count which are demanding and complex and we only have 3 times to pass.

Nowadays, before student assessments are submitted for feedback and analysis, the TEFL Academy introduced a system in December a system for diagnosing plagiarism and AI of the documents requested to certify which assessment has been carried out by the student.

I missed being part of a community forum for students and ex-students to exchange ideas, experiences, resources, advice, and insights.

The final certificate is issued as a PDF and sent to the student's address at no extra cost. Now that I have the certificate, the big challenge is to enter the labour market for teachers abroad with the TEFL course.

I'm delighted to have taken the step of completing the course with merit, opening up new avenues and getting more opportunities in the field of teaching abroad.

I have just completed the Level 5 TEFL Diploma course, and I am amazed at how much this course has improved my skills and knowledge in teaching English as a second language. The units are very comprehensive, approaching topics in a detailed manner. They include short tests to assess knowledge and understanding, extra links to articles for further research on the subject you're studying in each specific unit, and much more.

I found that this course provided me with a broader perspective on what a person needs to know in order to teach English as a second language. The quiz questions testing your knowledge in between is very helpful because then you know where you need to make improvements. The review box as well you are able to share your thoughts with other's. Being able to test your knowledge as much as you want with no limits. I love the web seminar as well, there you get a lot of information.

I enjoyed this course and had no trouble completing the content. The TEFL Academy was generous with its time frame for completion (six months), so I was able to take my time as I was in the process of retiring from my previous career of 25 years. I completed this course with a view to teaching English as a foreign language and traveling, while using the skills that I had developed in my previous career to make me an effective teacher. I found the course thorough and covered everything I believe that I need to find employment as an ESL teacher. The course also gives me the confidence to look at other English language and grammar publications to professionally develop as an ESL teacher. There was a good balance of quizzes throughout the course, and the three assignments were all very different and covered something quite relevant to teaching English. Overall, I recommend this course for anyone looking to get their foot in the door of ESL teaching, and starting with a solid training course.

When I enrolled in the TEFL Academy Level 5 course I had very little knowledge of the ESL world. I had done extensive research on ESL courses and finally selected this one. The student support and markers were also extremely reliable, prompt and courteous; I always felt at ease making any queries or requests. By the end of the course, I felt very equipped to begin my career in ESL teaching, and I am starting to feel like a part of this wide and curious, open and wonderful world of ESL! Taking the Online Level 5 TEFL Course provided by the TEFL Academy was an excellent experience that truly delved into the various challenges of teaching. This was not a "simple" course by any means; I found it challenging, especially the assignments, but it was incredibly interesting and engaging.

Although I don't have immediate plans to start teaching, I wanted to take this course to open up more doors for the future. The flexibility of the online format was perfect for me, as it allowed me to balance my full-time job and responsibilities as a mum to two young kids. I could pace the course as needed, which really worked well for my busy schedule.
