What an excellent choice to get equipped in language training! The TEFL Academy Online is very affordable and allows you to work at your own pace, but does not sacrifice quality or comprehensive focus on the important tasks of TESL. I plan to use what I have learned to connect in a new culture and supplement my income and this course accomplished everything I needed. I have taken many online classes, including at a graduate level, and The TEFL Academy is among the best in both content and its support structures! Jump in. You won't be sorry!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

The only thing I could think to do to improve this experience, would be to find a partner going through the course at approximately the same time. It may help to have someone to discuss the ideas with.

The TEFL Academy really offers an easy to use and easy to understand course. The course was interesting and informative. It also keeps you motivated to complete the course with its engaging activities. All relevant and useful information is provided making it easy to complete the activities and assignments your first time. There are some Units that are longer and more difficult to get through than others, but all information provided is relevant and necessary, not only to complete the course but also to better your understanding of the English language and the skill it takes to teach it. The course helped me realize that being a teacher is a very important job and is not to be done for a free vacation. Teachers have one of the most important roles in a child's development, so one should always strive for perfection within this role. Thank you The TEFL Academy for helping me start my career and realize its importance.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?

Read the questions carefully as some of the tests have multiple answers yet only one is the most correct, also do all the notebook activities as they will come in handy throughout the course

Some time after my graduation, I saved money and had the TEFL Academy recommended by a friend. I found them at an affordable price with good benefits as well. Due to the pandemic, it suited me perfectly to do a course online. It was easily accessible, especially when moving around study places. The tutors were most helpful, polite and swift. They answered really professionally and provided the correct information. I found it mostly enjoyable and was pleased to see the extra resources and activities included. I was extremely happy that the course challenged my thinking in various scenarios. I completed the course at a comfortable pace around my daily schedule.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I definitely would have enrolled sooner! I definitely would not have been afraid to step into the next phase of my life, if I’d known how encouraging and empowering the course is.

I enrolled for Level 5 Tefl Course (168 hours). The material is precise and it helps in developing your skillset as a learner. The links provided are relevant and current. I would recommend this course to anyone who would like to begin their journey as a Teacher. The add-on course is a bonus for the price you pay. You can choose Teaching Young Learners, Online Teaching or Business English, whatever group you would prefer to teach. As per one's preference, they can enhance their skills and get a job in the desired feild.

After graduating, I became really interested in the idea of teaching English as a foreign language, so after a bit of research I decided to do the TEFL Academy online course because it seemed to be informative, accessible, and would allow me to work at my own pace. All these things were proven to be true, and I was also impressed by how thorough and attractively-presented all the course content was; I feel like I now have all the essentials I need to start my TEFL journey, and would like to thank the TEFL Academy for that.

What would you improve about this program?

I found the assignments hard at first, and might have liked a little bit more guidance with them, but I think it's also just a matter of getting used to the format and the principles of TEFL—once I'd gotten used to them, the work became much easier.

It was an interesting course, and is really well structured a little challenging but overall not too difficult, definitely worth doing and well worth the money. The course helped me improve my knowledge of teaching methods and helped me improve my English language skills.The course opens up a lot of oppertunities all around the world. You might still have to go to university but there are some jobs which don't require that. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to travel or improve their English skills.

What would you improve about this program?

I would like it if there were actual tutors helping students and you didn't have to launch a ticket.

The course is accessible, easy-to-follow, and thought provoking. With ample time and resources, interactive activities, and a well organized format, the course gives you a solid base in technical knowledge, teaching strategies, lesson planning, and interacting with students. The material and assignments made it very easy for me to imagine myself in a real classroom. There was a large emphasis on making lessons as individualized as possible for your students. A wide variety of hypothetical situations opened my eyes to what types of opportunities exist and made me feel prepared for any situation. After taking this course I feel confident in my ability to teach the English language and in my ability to manage a classroom.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I almost took the entire 6 months to complete the course, purely because of procrastination. Even while working a job, this course could easily be completed in a month or 2. I would have gotten after it faster if I were to do this again.

TEFL academy's level 5 TEFL online course is a great way to get an internationally-recognized teaching certification in no time. It is self-paced and you're granted more than enough time to complete the whole course. Provided you are native in english (or C2+ level), you will progress smoothly through the different units and the way they are made makes you easily retain the information you read. The course is clearly made by teachers, for teachers. :) The assignments are challenging enough, each one will take you a good bunch of hours to complete and you can't be lazy if you want to get a good grade. The tutors provide very quick yet complete feedback and reviews.
Finally, the course is more than affordable once you realize the world of opportunities it opens for you. Go for it !

Be focused on your training and allocate it sufficient time, doing an hour here and there won't work !

Why did you choose this program?

Because of geological location; however, the reason I chose this particular program was in part due to it looking more official than the others. On my trip to a foreign country (South Korea), I was told by my friend that I was very knowledgeable about what I knew and wondered how I would do at teaching. With my current job, it made sense with the way the program was laid out.

What did your program provider (or university) assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?

The provider assisted with making me dig deeper into what I already knew about the subjects; on my own, it was up to me to decide mine on topics' materials for every assignment (the provider also assisted in the matter by providing templates). When it came to reviews, the assessor assisted in what I need to improve and what was good, if not great.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

If I had to give advice to someone that wanted this program, it would be to take their time. Although it can be done as quickly as needed, I would recommend them to take their time. Rushing will make them impatient and the longer lessons seem daunting, making one miss the simple things one already knows.

Be prepared to not have reviews on some of the lessons, as it will seem as they are abundant in the beginning.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

An average day, as it is an online course, is, however, the students want it to be. However, I would recommend doing half a lesson in 2 to 3 days, then the other. Even so, that is still pushing it for those who are struggling; spending 1 hr a day may be enough, depending on how much one covers in that hour.

I myself tried to cover a lesson a day; in the beginning, it worked out fine, until you get to the longer lessons; then you have to take into account the assignments, which would take almost a week to perform properly.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

When going abroad, I was fearing that I would not be able to answer the questions that were being asked. But after a while, I felt more comfortable about that.

There are still times I feel I would not have the answer to some questions, but I am comfortable now that, if asked a question I don't know, I could easily answer it with the appropriate response.

Is there any type of information you would like to point out to others?

Yes. I would point out that it would be a good idea to find out what requirements one needs for the teaching job they want. It is important to note that there is paperwork that is needed as well when going abroad that needs to be taken into account. These two things are easily missed in the thought process.

What is your favorite travel memory?

One of my favourite travel memories is when I was in Croatia with a friend and we decided to venture in Bosnia Herzegovina for a few days. We stayed in a crazy hostel, with even crazier owners! They brought us to a rave in a cave which was so much fun. The next day we got to explore Mostar and we also traveled to Sarajevo and did a walking tour. It was so interesting!

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Getting to work for The TEFL Academy has given me opportunity to grow in many different ways. I speak to a range of different people from different places daily which is really interesting and sometimes we do have little chats about where in the world we are! I've also significantly improved my geography, which is handy!

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

My favourite stories are from teachers who teach young learners. The students get so attached to their teachers and they always have gifts from them that the children have made! I love to see the photos also; we often share these on our social media (with consent). It's a good way to show current and future students the opportunities out there when they get their qualifications.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would love to go on our Vietnam internship! I've always wanted to travel to Vietnam because it does look absolutely beautiful, but the internship sounds like a very rewarding one also. Getting to travel the world by also helping those to further their future prospects is an amazing opportunity.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

I think our company is unique in many different ways. Our organization is special because we really do believe in the power of education. We all, in some way or another, have traveled to many different places across the world, and the majority of us have taught also. This gives us a real insight into the actual world of TEFL and the teachers.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Being successful means a lot of different things for different people. I think a successful company really values what they are intending to do, and I believe The TEFL Academy does it in every way. My hope for our organization is that it grows and expands to cover all across the world! Providing a course that helps individuals to further themselves but also to educate others is something that is very special.
