Accredited 120-hour TESOL/TEFL Course - World TESOL Academy

This is the start of my dream to be an effective, efficient, and excellent language teacher abroad. I have long planned to earn an English Language Teaching certificate but have been doubtful where to earn it. I was afraid to be scammed. Thankfully, I found World TESOL Academy. I read its reviews and was able to form my trust in this academic center. The course training did not just teach me the theories but injected real-life situations that are gender and culturally-sensitive. Thank you for this platform, I can dream big because of this!

My full name is Tran Thi Hoang Oanh. You can call me Oanh. I am Vietnamese and an ESL teacher in Vietnam. I feel so excited because I just received my 120-hour TESOL/TEFL Certificate on January 27, 2024! This course lasts 4 months, however, I completed this course in 1 month! Today, I would love to review this certification. This certificate is issued by World TESOL Academy, Accredited Teaching Certification of the United Kingdom.

Firstly, I want to tell you how useful this course is. Seriously, I learned a lot from this course, especially, I loved all the teaching tips they provided. They are short, concise and very easy to understand, follow and practice. For example, how to teach effectively, it really depends on the class size, whether it is small or large. How to solve some problems when incidents occur in the classroom. More importantly, how to inspire students to learn if they are not good at or do not like learning English.

Secondly, talk about the quiz and the final exam. After each lesson we need to do a quiz. You can do it many times until you get 80% score. For the final exam, it is not easy with 65 questions, you can only retake it 4 times and you also need to get 80% score so that, I highly recommend you study each lesson more carefully and take notes on some important points, in the same way I did! You can then pass the test as well as review for these useful teaching notes in the future.

Last but not least, I want to tell you how you can take this course, how much does it cost and how to pay. A piece of cake !! Just go to Google or Facebook and type in World TESOL Academy and you can give them your information. In terms of price, it is very reasonable, only costs 34 USD, lifetime learning will cost more than 15 USD. You can pay with a Visa Credit Card, like I did!

I liked that the course was well-structured, the material was easy to grasp, the presentation of the material was of high quality, and there were no overly difficult questions. Everything was clear and relevant. I also liked that the course includes an online learning section. I discovered many new techniques and 'life hacks' for myself, which can be applied immediately in practice. The videos of real lessons are very useful, everything is presented in a clear and understandable manner. I also particularly liked that the course discusses how to motivate students of all kinds.

Hi, I'm Christine Joy Jaco Forro and I am currently teaching in Indonesia as an English Teacher. I took TESOL as it was required of me by the school.

I'm thrilled with the whole experience as this is the first language test I have taken. I admit that I thought it would be hard but while doing the lesson topic per topic, I have lots of realization and learning.

One that made me rethink my current teaching style is that 'students are my clients' so I have to maintain my cool and think of the most creative way to apply classroom discipline effectively without ruining all the more the mood.

Plus, I got to see videos from the lesson that encouraged me to prepare better so it will be an enjoyable time with my kids if not always, most of the time.

With all other things that reinforced my knowledge and skills, I am so thankful for World TESOL Academy.

The overall course is/was pretty good in my opinion, I really appreciated aspects like which country overseas (i'm European) need english teachers, so I was able to imagine myself immerse in different countries and contexts. I think that could be more useful for the upcoming participants having more video based on teaching's experience.
Nowadays, we live in a society that is leading to a transformation, so i think that developing a way to travel, know culture and people from all over the world will be a win for everyone.

I found the course to be wide ranging in its content. It covered all major topics, subjects and aspects I hoped for when I signed up. The course was a perfect introduction for someone like myself who is embarking on a new career teaching English. It helped refresh my memory on previously learned (and forgotten) aspects of the English language and taught me plenty of new information too. The couse material is laid out in a clear and easy to understand format with little to no unnecessary information or explanations.

I found this course to be a good refresher for all the language skills I already use without thinking. It is very easy to navigate through the platform and the video content provided was very helpful. I liked that it gave different approaches depending on the level of ESL learners of your class. I would definitely recommend this course to a friend. If I could give any advice is to take notes, it might be tempting to just skip through the lessons because when you know English, most of these concepts just "make sense" but studying and taking notes with care really helped me get through the quizzes and test!
