I'm 31 years old man. I moved to Vietnam and encounter the problem of choosing new way of living. My friends told me that teaching English is a good way to live here, so I listened to them, but I had no idea how to teach children. Also almost every english center or kindergarten ask for TESOL certificate. So I checked internet and found World TESOL Academy, also my friend completed 120h course and got certificate. This course gave overall understanding of how to teach young learners. So I can create my own plan and put there my ideas. Thank you very much!

I was absolutely astonished at how comprehensive and at times complex this course was. I did all my homework concerning different courses and was looking for something affordable. I am a dedicated learner with a few tertiary academic degrees but was surprised by the complexity of this course if done properly. I have read many reviews of so called critics that finished it in a day or a week. ?? Impossible if one really are interested In doing it properly. I was extremely satisfied with the course and have absolutely no regrets in doing it. I refuse to pay 1000 plus dollars for similar courses that lacks in complexity and depth. What would you improve about this program?

Nothing it exceeded my expectations.

As a foreigner who had to learn English by myself as a second tongue, I always wondered if I could be a person who could help others to learn English in a better and easier way. Having this course absolutely gave me a confidence that I needed to teach English.

Now I am excited with this new opportunity provided by this program, and wondering where would it be taking me to. I hope having this experience will give me more opportunities to travel around the globe.

As a techer, acquiring more knowledge is one thing you need to look at. So i decided to take the 120 hour TESOL/TEFL course. It has been such an amazing journey taking this course. I have really had a whole change of mindset about teaching English to Speakers of other Languages. I had my own time to study, not only at home but even at work. All i needed was a good internet connection. It took me less than a month to complete it. I will always recommend this program to any teacher who wishes to teach English Language in and outside his /her country.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?

I thought i had understood word and sentence stresses untill i failed the quiz on that section several times.
I had to close for that day and revisit it the next day. Guess what, i passed the quiz.

I've been working as an online English teacher for three years now. During the course, I could look back at the beginning of my journey wistfully. Back then, I wasn't aware of the many resources and training available and had to figure out everything independently. That is why I think this is an amazing guide for beginners. The course will teach you the basic skills to start teaching and grow as an English teacher. However, most of the learning will happen in real-life situations, and it's great to know that, even though it can be challenging, we are sure to show up with the right tools.

This course was delivered in the most simple way anyone could possible want. I enjoyed every bit of it and can hardly wait to practice teaching internationally!
I’d gladly recommend the TESOL course to anyone who intends to use English for any reason that involves traveling because of how informative it is and also because of its status as one of the leading organizations for such causes. I appreciate the world TESOL organization for this opportunity to learn a course so important, yet easy to access.

I’d make sure i jot down every single word. Its worth the stress!

I am not an English native speaker and wasn't sure if I would be able to complete this course but I did it and I highly recommend it to anyone planning to become an English teacher. The course is well presented and it has simple choice of words making it easy to go through.The programme is long (120 hours is a lot) therefore it will require commitment and discipline from you like any other online course. If you set a reminder on your phone and dedicate at least 30 minutes a day, you will succeed.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I would set a reminder on my phone calendar to dedicate at least 30 minutes a day to this course. I felt that I took a little longer to complete it. When I finally did that (half way the course) I moved faster.

I needed a way to get a quick 120-hour TESOL certificate. And this did that. I´ll be using it to find online ESL tutoring jobs!

I found World TESOL academy online, while I was looking for ways to find additional income (I'm aiming for jobs that pay at least 20 dollars an hour), and noticed that there are a lot of online companies that accept native English speakers for tutoring positions, but require them to have a teaching certificate (I al ready tutor in math).

I will use this to generate a steady income flow while I continue with my career in finance and as a lay pastor!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I'd focus more and get it done in 3 days (tops).

Going into my experience teaching English as a foreign language overseas, my biggest fear was not being able to effectively connect with and engage my students due to language barriers and cultural differences. I worried that my limited experience in new cultural settings might make it challenging to communicate and build rapport.

I overcame this fear by investing time in learning about the local culture and customs, actively seeking feedback from students and colleagues, and adapting my teaching methods to better suit their needs. As I gained more experience and confidence, I realized that being flexible and open to learning from my students greatly enhanced my teaching effectiveness. My views on the issue evolved as I understood that building relationships and understanding local contexts are key to successful teaching abroad.
