Providing myself with valuable learning experiences

I come from Vietnam, a country where people don't speak much English. And I also had a really hard time learning English at the age of 36. But thanks to your clear and specific learning program, I have gradually improved my English ability. I send my gratitude to the teaching team and creating a useful learning channel like this! I hope many people will know about this course and of course,e I will share it with my other friends.

Wishing you all the best
-A sincere thank you from a student in Vietnam-

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The moment I took the final exam, I felt like I was "younger" - a high school student again even though I turned 36 years old this year!
Pros
  • Easy to understand
  • Clear lesson
  • Has practical application

120 Hour TESOL/TEFL

I have just completed the TESOL/TEFL online course, and I am grateful for the valuable insights and skills it has provided me to become an effective English language teacher. The course covered essential areas such as lesson planning, classroom management, and different teaching methodologies, and I now feel more confident in creating structured, engaging lessons for my future students.

I particularly appreciated learning how to adapt lesson plans to various student needs using methods like PPP (Present, Practice, Produce) and TBL (Task-Based Learning). I now understand the importance of using concept-checking questions (CCQs) to gauge student comprehension, as well as how to balance the teaching of grammar, vocabulary, and language skills. Additionally, the focus on classroom management strategies has equipped me with the tools to handle diverse classroom environments and motivate students effectively.

The course also gave me a deeper understanding of the role of technology in language teaching, and I’m excited to incorporate digital tools into my lessons. I now feel prepared to assess students appropriately, providing both formative and summative feedback, and creating a student-centered learning environment that fosters confidence and participation.

Overall, I feel much more prepared to begin teaching and look forward to applying these skills in real-world classroom settings. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to develop a comprehensive understanding of TESOL/TEFL methodologies.

What would you improve about this program?

Excellent self-paced TESOL course

Happy to have completed this TESOL course successfully. This course allows me to pace myself while juggling work and self-upgrading to gain this certification. Content of course is well-balanced: between English as a language and also preparation of the mental part of class planning and interaction. This course also helps with class planning and organisation. I chose this course because it is accredited and recognised. I will definitely remember the pointers in the course for my classes and students in the future. Thank you!

Rewarding Experience

This course is more than I expected. It is complete and covers everything needed from the basics to the tiny details. But it was a real challenge that proved there is still an infinity of things about teaching I need to learn. I am very happy I completed this course, it's an amazing achievement for me. I would say this is probably the best online course I have done in my life. I am so grateful chose to do it this way even when I found it offered in some other institutions or platforms. I enjoyed this learning experience a lot!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Dedicate even more time to it, for sure.

An Exceptional Learning Experience – Highly Recommended!

I recently completed and passed my TEFL course, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. From start to finish, the course was engaging, informative, and comprehensive. The content was well-organized and covered everything from lesson planning to classroom management, ensuring I feel fully prepared to teach English to non-native speakers.

The course structure was flexible, allowing me to study at my own pace while still providing clear deadlines and support when needed. The materials were practical and easy to follow, with interactive modules and plenty of opportunities to apply what I learned. I particularly appreciated the emphasis on real-world teaching scenarios and how to adapt to different student needs.

The tutors were incredibly knowledgeable, always available to answer questions, and provided insightful feedback that helped me improve along the way. They made sure I understood the core principles of teaching English and gave me the confidence to step into a classroom environment.

I feel much more confident in my ability to teach English to students from various backgrounds, and I’m excited to begin applying everything I’ve learned in real-world teaching situations. This course was definitely worth the time and investment, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in pursuing a career in teaching English as a foreign language.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
So, there you were, all brave and excited, stepping up to the culinary challenge of trying crocodile meat. You probably thought, “Hey, it’s just another exotic meat, like kangaroo or alligator, right? How bad can it be?”

Well, turns out, the universe had other plans for your stomach. You took that first bite—crunch—and for a brief moment, you were like, “This isn’t so bad, actually.” A mix of chicken and fish, a little tougher, a little fancier. You felt like a culinary pioneer, a true adventurer in the wild… until your body went, “Nope. Not today, buddy.”

It started with a small rumble in your stomach. You thought it was nothing, maybe just a food baby. But then, oh no, it started escalating—your stomach became a thunderstorm, and the Crocodile Gods were not pleased. Your mouth went dry, and suddenly, you could hear the distant roar of the croc in your gut. You realized the only thing that was going to be wild here was the ride to the ER.

You staggered to the hospital, holding your stomach like you were carrying the weight of the entire Everglades in there. And of course, when you finally made it to the hospital, they asked the inevitable question: “What did you eat?”

With a sheepish grin, you muttered, “Uh... crocodile.”

The doctor’s eyes widened, and you swear you heard a gasp in the background like it was some ancient secret. “Crocodile? Are you sure it wasn’t just a weird food coma?”

But no, it was no coma. The crocodile had triumphed over you, sending you into a temporary state of "hospital VIP" where you got all the attention, plus a great story for the future. And as the nurses tried to figure out exactly what went wrong, you sat there thinking: “Well, at least I tried something new…”

The good news? You survived the croc attack, and now you have a hilarious, one-of-a-kind “meal gone wrong” story to tell at every dinner party.

My Experience With TESOL

It was all-in-all a great opportunity. I was able to consolidate a great deal of linguitics knowledge, learn new context for class teaching (as I hadn't had this opportunity before), appreciate much more of the multi-layered art of teaching in a very humane and caring way, among other things. Language is about connection, communication, people, culture, lives and in my opinion TESOL encapsulates all of those themes very well. I'm very happy to attain this certification and to be even more prepared to what's coming next. Thank you all!

What would you improve about this program?
I think it focused on teaching adults less than I think it's interesting. It could devote a little more time to that.
Pros
  • easy-understanding
  • pretty complete
  • engaging
Cons
  • doesn't focus on teaching adults a lot, comparatively

I particularly appreciated the interactive approach to learning, which allowed me to refine my teaching skills through hands-on activities, real-life scenarios, and helpful feedback.

The flexibility of the online format allowed me to balance my studies with other commitments, and the resources provided were invaluable for my professional growth. I am confident in teaching English to non-native speakers and am excited to apply my new skills in the classroom.

Very Pleased!

I'm very happy to finally have finished this course! Despite the course being amazing, engaging, and very easy to study, due to personal reasons I had my share of getting unmotivated and off-track. For example, being busy with work and family, as well as other life-situations. Gladly, I kept going and am very excited for what is to come.

Overall I'm very pleased with World Tesol Academy and the way they've constructed this course, I genuinely have no complaints! Thank you!

I would have loved to read some more about teaching in the UAE or more ettiquettes of teaching there, but no complaints!

What would you improve about this program?
One thing I would've loved to get more informed about would be; teaching in the middle east. A lot was mentioned about Asia and etiquettes, etc, but almost none or was mentioned about working in the Middle east such as UAE etc, some etiquettes, etc. Other than that, I have no comments about the actual course.

  • Easy
