Never dreamed of becoming a teacher, NOT UNTIL!

I never dreamed of becoming a teacher when I was young. When I started working in the corporate world, I was given an opportunity as a part-timer private tutor, and it lasted for a year. I really enjoyed it, especially when my students got higher grades because of my help. I've decided to take this course, so I could work abroad in different schools. The lessons and strategies on this course helped me gain knowledge to do it in my future career as an English Teacher abroad. Some lessons were familiar to me, so I finished the course in 4 days. I would recommend this 120-hour TESOL/TEFL course.

What was your funniest moment?
The funniest moment I had while taking the course was when there was a video every time on how to teach children in the lessons, and I was entertained too, like I am in the same classroom as the teacher and the students in the video.

TESOL 120 Hour Course

I appreciate that in this course, a large focus was on strategies in the classroom. The parts of the English language that are more difficult for learners to understand, can be difficult for teachers to help students practice. This course focused on each segment and then classroom strategy. This was unexpected! I copied down a lot of game ideas and activities. I feel confident that I can use various activities in the classroom when engagement seems low. I am currently a substitute teacher and I believe this will benefit me in my current work as well!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Do not be intimidated. A little bit at a time, and then a solid review will prepare you for the exam.
Pros
  • Teacher strategy
  • Simple layout
  • Easy to understand material

I love TESOL

Through my preparation and participation in the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) exam, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and skills that have significantly enhanced my understanding of effective language teaching. This experience has not only deepened my theoretical understanding but also provided practical tools and strategies that I can apply in my future teaching career.

One of the most valuable aspects of the TESOL exam was learning about the different methodologies and approaches to language teaching. I became familiar with the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach, which emphasizes the importance of interaction and communication in the learning process. This approach encourages students to use the language in real-life situations, fostering both fluency and accuracy. Understanding this methodology has helped me see the importance of creating a classroom environment where students feel comfortable practicing and using the language actively.

Another key area I explored was lesson planning and curriculum design. The TESOL exam taught me how to structure lessons effectively, ensuring that each session has clear objectives, engaging activities, and appropriate assessments. I learned how to create lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and levels, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed. This skill will be invaluable in my future teaching, as it allows me to tailor my lessons to meet the diverse needs of my students.

Classroom management was another critical area covered in the TESOL exam. I learned strategies for maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, such as setting clear expectations, using positive reinforcement, and managing disruptive behavior effectively. These techniques will help me create a classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning, where students feel respected and motivated to participate.

The TESOL exam also emphasized the importance of cultural sensitivity and awareness in language teaching. I learned how to incorporate cultural elements into my lessons, helping students understand the cultural context of the language they are learning. This not only enhances their language skills but also fosters a deeper appreciation for different cultures. In an increasingly globalized world, this aspect of teaching is crucial for preparing students to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries.

Assessment and feedback were other areas where I gained significant insights. The TESOL exam taught me how to design assessments that accurately measure students' language proficiency and provide meaningful feedback that supports their learning. I learned about formative and summative assessments and how to use them to guide my teaching and help students track their progress. This knowledge will enable me to provide constructive feedback that encourages continuous improvement and helps students achieve their language learning goals.

Technology integration in language teaching was another important topic covered in the TESOL exam. I learned about various digital tools and resources that can enhance language learning, such as language learning apps, online platforms, and multimedia resources. Understanding how to effectively integrate technology into my teaching will allow me to create more engaging and interactive lessons, catering to the digital-native generation of learners.

Finally, the TESOL exam reinforced the importance of reflective practice in teaching. I learned how to critically evaluate my teaching methods and make adjustments based on student feedback and outcomes. This continuous process of reflection and improvement will be essential in my future teaching career, ensuring that I remain adaptable and responsive to the needs of my students.

In conclusion, the TESOL exam has provided me with a comprehensive foundation in language teaching, equipping me with the knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective and empathetic educator. From understanding different teaching methodologies to mastering classroom management and integrating technology, the insights I gained will undoubtedly shape my approach to teaching and help me create a positive and impactful learning experience for my students. As I move forward in my teaching career, I am confident that the lessons learned from the TESOL exam will continue to guide and inspire me in my journey as an educator.
I love TESOL !Welcome to TESOL family!

Teaching Certificate

I had a great experience! I would wish that there were more detailed summaries of the last few modules cause they seemed quite short. Apart from that, I think the modules were well-structured and super easy to follow. I was done with the course in about a week which is great, I also preferred how you can time your studying for yourself. I would defo recommend this course, especially for travelers who need a certificate in a shorter time period. Hopefully, I will be able to find a teaching job soon to put my knowledge into action :)

A Transformative Journey

As an educator with a passion for teaching English, I was searching for a TESOL certification program that was affordable, flexible, and internationally recognized. The World TESOL Academy exceeded my expectations in every way, making it an easy choice for both aspiring and experienced teachers.

Accessible and Affordable Excellence

One of the biggest advantages of World TESOL Academy is its affordability. Many TESOL programs are prohibitively expensive, but this academy provides high-quality training at a fraction of the cost. It made professional development accessible to me without financial strain—something I deeply appreciate as an educator.

A Comprehensive Learning Experience

The course content was clear, structured, and practical. It covered essential teaching methodologies, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies. Despite having prior teaching experience, I gained new insights into student-centered learning and interactive techniques that have transformed my approach to teaching English.

The modules were designed to be self-paced, which allowed me to balance my studies with my other commitments. This flexibility is invaluable for teachers who are working or caring for families.

Real-World Application and Immediate Impact

After completing my certification, I felt more confident and prepared to teach English to speakers of other languages. The course provided practical strategies that I could immediately implement in my classroom. I also appreciated the focus on lesson adaptability, which helped me cater to diverse learners, including young students and adult professionals.

This certification has opened new opportunities for me. Whether you’re looking to teach online, work abroad, or advance in your current teaching career, World TESOL Academy equips you with the skills and credentials needed to succeed.

Why I Highly Recommend It

I wholeheartedly recommend World TESOL Academy to anyone looking for a credible, flexible, and affordable TESOL certification. It’s perfect for those starting their teaching journey, as well as experienced educators seeking professional development.

My experience with World TESOL Academy has been nothing short of transformative, and I encourage others to take this step toward a rewarding teaching career.

What would you improve about this program?
My experience with World TESOL Academy was highly positive—it provided flexibility, affordability, and practical knowledge that helped me grow as an educator. However, one improvement that would make the course even more effective is the addition of downloadable presentations at the end of each topic.

Having key information summarized in a concise, visually structured format would greatly enhance retention. It would also serve as a quick reference guide for teachers to revisit essential concepts without having to scroll through the entire course. These presentations could include:
• Key takeaways from each lesson
• Example lesson plans or teaching techniques
• Visual diagrams explaining methodologies
• Quick tips for classroom implementation

This addition would not only make studying easier but also provide a valuable resource for teachers to use when preparing their own lessons. If World TESOL Academy implements this, it would make an already excellent course even more impactful for future educators.
Pros
  • Affordable & accessible
  • Flexible & self-paced
  • Practical content
Cons
  • Lack of interactive elements
  • Limited assessment variety
  • No downloadable summaries

You are not gonna regret

It was so flexible to finish the course because they offered four months' access to complete it and four attempts to finish the final test. If you're scared of tests or don’t like taking them, don’t worry—this is the best choice for you. The extra attempts and extended time really reduce the pressure and allow you to learn at your own pace. This supportive structure makes the course feel less stressful and more manageable, ensuring you can succeed without feeling overwhelmed. Plus, it helps build confidence as you progress through the material.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
Easy access, and a very structural system it had.
Pros
  • Easy to access
  • Systematic
  • Tutor help
Cons
  • If they have example lesson plan book or something, it would be great.
