A professional teaching agency

Our experience with teaching nomad has been second to none. Dylan, our personal placement officer, was absolutely fantastic every step of the way. Throughtout the stages of our eventual placement Dylan offered great guidance and wonderul expertise. Within a few weeks he was able to find both me and my partner teaching positions close to eachother.
10/10 would definitely recommend to any teachers looking to move abroad.

Thank you

Mary Long from the Denver office of Teaching Nomad was very helpful in finding me employment in China. She was very thorough and gleaned enough information from me that helped employers to take notice of my application. She made me feel at east during the entire interview process and was very kind and supportive. She was also very professional, upbeat, gregarious and thoughtful. I'm sure my time in China will be very exciting and rewarding. The information she provided will be very useful. I am thankful I chose Teaching Nomad to help me seek employment in China.

What would you improve about this program?
Don't know if it really needs any improvement. May add some more positions in southeast asia? Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos?

No problems

I had no problems with the program, I was immediately matched with a ton of high paying jobs. Everything I was looking for in my next job was taken into consideration and I literally could not have secured a more perfect position for myself next year. Jacklynn specifically listened to what I wanted and found an amazing placement for me. Before my process even finished I had recommended this site to a friend looking to go abroad, and she also found a placement!

What would you improve about this program?
Probably this isn't possible, but more jobs in the middle east would be nice. I had originally wanted to go there but there were no open positions outside of math or science.

Teaching Nomad was amazing

Ashley from Teaching Nomad is a wonderful recruiter. From the start, she was helpful and always available whenever I had any questions. The whole process and interviewing stages ran smoothly with her assistance and constant checking in with me. I have now landed a job at a school in China and I am very grateful for all the help and efforts from Ashley. I definitely recommend anyone looking for a job to use Teaching Nomad, you will not be disappointed.

No Complaints

As a newly qualified teacher, I have had dealings with more than a few online placement agencies. In the end, I found that Teaching Nomads and my placement agent Mary were by far the most helpful and responsive to my needs. Mary listened to what I was looking for and provided me with several options. I am very happy with the position I have secured and feel that it is an excellent fit. I am excited to begin work in the fall! I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences with Teaching Nomads. Thanks Mary!

Great Company

I received my TEFL through Teaching Nomad. Soon after they helped me find a job in China. They are kind and do a great job in helping you find jobs. They are there if you need help and will help you through the process of finding a new job or contract renewal after completing your first year. You will learn a lot in China and your teaching will develop and improve drastically in a short period of time. What I suggest is work hard and try your best, learn about the culture, try to learn the language and you will fall in love with the country.

So Helpful

Teaching Nomad did an amazing job helping me find a teaching position overseas (Shanghai, China). From the start they were kind, personable, and available for all of my many questions. I can tell they care about helping schools find good teachers and helping those teachers succeed. My connection their, Moira, was and still is available to help me with all kinds of things (I actually just emailed her). From questions about contracts to visas and different schools. I was determined to continue teaching the subject and age group I liked and they found me five schools I was interested in applying to. I ended up getting contacted by two of them and hired by my top pick! I get living accommodations and utilities on top of pay that is comparable to what I make in the US as a teacher (but ends up being a good bit more because I'm not losing 1/3 of it to rent each month). They honestly made finding a teaching job overseas go more smoothly than I ever could have imagined.

A great experience

Using Joe at Teaching Nomad made my return to teaching quick and easy. Within a week of signing up I had interviews and within a month a job offer. It made the process easy as I was able to upload my documents in one central location. My school was able to get these documents which saved time once the contract was signed. I will continue to use Joe at Teaching Nomad as I continue my experience teaching aboard. Thanks again for the great experience.

Questions & Answers

At this time, many schools in China are hiring from overseas and feel confident they will be able to secure working visas for overseas hires. We would encourage you to begin getting your documents authenticated now so you are prepared for the visa application.

Hello Erik, most of the English teaching roles posted on our site require candidates from native English speaking countries. However we do have subject teacher positions for non-native speakers if they have experience teaching that subject. We also have TEFL course + job placement opportunities in many countries that don't require the candidates to be native speakers. You can learn more about...

Yes! A teaching degree is not required to teach abroad. In many cases experience and/or a TEFL certification is an adequate qualification. We place couples all the time!

In such a case we would recommend the individual to contact the authorities to report the assault. This would include local police as well as the consulate or Embassy of your country. Of course we would never work with a school or organization that allowed an assault to occur.
