Teaching Nomad is Amazing!

I've been wanting to teach in Asia for awhile and was not sure how I would go about making this big move. A friend referred me to Teaching Nomad, I sent through my CV and filled in the application online. I received an email the next morning. I can't thank Joseph Alter enough with all the help and support he has given through this process.

I would recommend you contact Joseph from Teaching Nomad if you are looking to work in Asia. I'm really excited to start this new journey. Teaching Nomad is the best recruitment agency I've had the pleasure of working with.

Working in Shanghai

This experience went very well. I am glad to have access to individuals that have access to quite a few top-notch schools for placement. I was able to have a first interview within about two weeks of submitting my final materials and accepted a teaching contract a week after. Great work and many thanks. This process would have been quite difficult to field on my own. I would recommend Teaching Nomad to others that are in need of finding a great teaching position that is a good fit for them!

Wonderful Soul - Ashley

I have always wanted to go work in China but thought the process of finding work there was hard until I found Ashley from Teaching Nomad. She made things easier for me and whenever i needed help she was always there. I would sent her an enquiry via email and she would respond promptly. After every interview I had, she immediately followed up to find out how it went. I am going to China towards the end of next month, to work as an English Instructor all thanks to Ashley/ Teaching Nomad. I will most definitely recommend her/Teaching Nomad to people who also want to go overseas to teach.

Ashley thank you so much for your wonderful assistance.

Great Recruiter!

I highly recommend Teaching Nomad to anyone looking for serious teaching opportunities. Ashley has found me great opportunities that are trustworthy and meet my specific needs. She listens and makes sure only a good match would happen. Also, Teaching Nomad is very detailed in asking for information and keeping your file complete, which eases the hiring process and increases efficiency for both the school recruiters and the teachers.

I have had Ashley for two successful placements in the past couple of years, and I can definitely say she's the best recruiter I have had so far.

Amazing in every way!

When I decided I wanted to move to China and teach, Ila at Teaching Nomad was amazing! She helped guide me in every step of the way. She was friendly, answered my questions very quickly, and provided great support during the process which can be difficult when deciding which option is best for you! She really took the time to get to know my background as best as possible in order to get me great job offers that were best for me! I am excited for this next chapter and I would not have been able to do it without the help of Ila and Teaching Nomad!

Excellent support

I have had the chance to work with Teaching Nomad to find my overseas job for this coming school year. Dylan gave me great support both before and after I was hired by the school I applied to. He made sure that I had answers from the school and that my worries and needs were met. I would highly recommend contacting the company or Dylan himself to find a great overseas job that fits what you are looking for.

Teaching Nomad Can Get You Where You Want To Go

I highly recommend Teaching Nomad to anyone interested in teaching abroad. Some months ago, I posted my resume on Dave's ESL Cafe. I received about 40 emails from various recruiters; the only one I responded to was Jacklynn of Teaching Nomad. The professionalism of the email and the organization caught my eye and stood out among the rest. She gave me great tips on how to improve my resume in order to highlight my skills. Furthermore, their intake process keeps you on your toes and prepares you to succeed.

This August I will be taking off for my first English teaching job in Xinghua, Jiangsu in eastern China. After entertaining several offers, I know this job is the best one among the bunch. I appreciate Jacklynn's patience and determination while working with me and helping me to find the best position possible. You only live once, right? If you're serious, I would try Teaching Nomad.

Working with Teaching Nomad was a great experience from start to finish. They listened to what I wanted and referred me to a great position. What more could you ask for? I would highly recommend Nomad to anyone seeking a position abroad and I look forward to working with them again.

Questions & Answers

At this time, many schools in China are hiring from overseas and feel confident they will be able to secure working visas for overseas hires. We would encourage you to begin getting your documents authenticated now so you are prepared for the visa application.

Hello Erik, most of the English teaching roles posted on our site require candidates from native English speaking countries. However we do have subject teacher positions for non-native speakers if they have experience teaching that subject. We also have TEFL course + job placement opportunities in many countries that don't require the candidates to be native speakers. You can learn more about...

Yes! A teaching degree is not required to teach abroad. In many cases experience and/or a TEFL certification is an adequate qualification. We place couples all the time!

In such a case we would recommend the individual to contact the authorities to report the assault. This would include local police as well as the consulate or Embassy of your country. Of course we would never work with a school or organization that allowed an assault to occur.
