Excellent support

I have had the chance to work with Teaching Nomad to find my overseas job for this coming school year. Dylan gave me great support both before and after I was hired by the school I applied to. He made sure that I had answers from the school and that my worries and needs were met. I would highly recommend contacting the company or Dylan himself to find a great overseas job that fits what you are looking for.

Teaching Nomad Can Get You Where You Want To Go

I highly recommend Teaching Nomad to anyone interested in teaching abroad. Some months ago, I posted my resume on Dave's ESL Cafe. I received about 40 emails from various recruiters; the only one I responded to was Jacklynn of Teaching Nomad. The professionalism of the email and the organization caught my eye and stood out among the rest. She gave me great tips on how to improve my resume in order to highlight my skills. Furthermore, their intake process keeps you on your toes and prepares you to succeed.

This August I will be taking off for my first English teaching job in Xinghua, Jiangsu in eastern China. After entertaining several offers, I know this job is the best one among the bunch. I appreciate Jacklynn's patience and determination while working with me and helping me to find the best position possible. You only live once, right? If you're serious, I would try Teaching Nomad.

Thank You Teaching Nomad!

I want to thank Oliver for helping me to find a new position in Shanghai! You were professional, polite, and answered all of my questions. Working with Teaching Nomad was a great experience from start to finish. They listened to what I wanted and referred me to a great position. What more could you ask for? I would highly recommend Nomad to anyone seeking a position abroad and I look forward to working with them again.

Thank you Mary Long

I turned to Teaching Nomad at a time when I needed to move forward in my career. I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Within a couple days of completing the basics of my online profile, I was contacted by Mary Long from Teaching Nomad's Denver Colorado offices. What resonated with me in my introductory interview with Mary was her professionalism and willingness to listen. Within a little over a week of that conversation, I understood that Mary really heard me and knew what I was looking for. She connected me with quality teaching organisations in China and the interviews began.

Interviewing can be daunting and filled with the unexpected, but in addition to preparing myself, Mary provided me with some great tips and was always available to Skype with me and follow up with any questions or concerns I had by email. I enjoyed my interviews and I am thankful to say, I have recently accepted a teaching position in Beijing with a great company.

Mary, you remained consistent in this process and I thank you very much for the high level of service and attention to details. You represented Teaching Nomad with a spirit of excellence that I will always remember. Because of the assistance and service you provided, I will continue to speak highly of you and Teaching Nomad whenever I meet a fellow teacher who is ready to take the next step in their teaching career.

A++ Experience With This Recruitment Agency!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Mary Long of Teaching Nomad, who help me get placed with pretty much an ideal teaching position for me in China. I would almost never go out of my way to write a review, but Mary displayed a level of professionalism that I had to commend. She was informative, well-spoken, and super quick in responding to emails seven days a week. I have no idea how she does it. Also, she was courteous and encouraging in this often-times-pretty-grueling process of going overseas.

To give some background, I've worked in the financial sector since graduation and have had little professional teaching experience; certainly not much in a traditional classroom setting. I wanted to try something new. Prior to contacting this agency, I had searched for and secured a couple of offers on my own, but the compensation packages I received were less than I was willing to accept and while the openings were in tier 1 cities, they were not in the ones I desired to relocate to. With this agency's help, I was able to find firm where I believe I can thrive.

Thank you, Teaching Nomad!!

Great recruiter!

My recruiter is probably one of the main reasons we have had such a successful experience with Teaching Nomads. Josie not only gave us a few options to choose from but she really listened to what we were looking for. She ended p finding a company that was interested in my boyfriend and myself so that we had all of the same holidays off together. It was also a very easy process. Josie made sure we had all of the available resources we would need for any interview. I would recommend this company to everyone!

Wonderful!

I was hoping I would find a company to pair me with a school, but I got so much more! I instantly felt comfortable and cared for. This whole process was very smooth. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to teach abroad! I did not feel pressured at all during this whole process. I was just encouraged and reassured that I will not be alone throughout the process. This process is very new to me but I right away felt at ease thanks to my coordinator.

Great Assistance from Moira at Teaching Nomad

I want to thank Moira for helping me with finding an ESL job in Beijing. She led me through the process, always answering every question that I had. I believe that Teaching Nomad is the best company to go through when looking for opportunities abroad to teach. Moira focused on my experience and interest to match me with certain schools. Without Teaching Nomad, I wouldn't have known how to a teaching job in China.

Questions & Answers

At this time, many schools in China are hiring from overseas and feel confident they will be able to secure working visas for overseas hires. We would encourage you to begin getting your documents authenticated now so you are prepared for the visa application.

Hello Erik, most of the English teaching roles posted on our site require candidates from native English speaking countries. However we do have subject teacher positions for non-native speakers if they have experience teaching that subject. We also have TEFL course + job placement opportunities in many countries that don't require the candidates to be native speakers. You can learn more about...

Yes! A teaching degree is not required to teach abroad. In many cases experience and/or a TEFL certification is an adequate qualification. We place couples all the time!

In such a case we would recommend the individual to contact the authorities to report the assault. This would include local police as well as the consulate or Embassy of your country. Of course we would never work with a school or organization that allowed an assault to occur.
