Teaching Nomad

I would be very happy to recommend this company. They are incredibly helpful and always prompt in replying to emails. They found lots of job opportunities for me that were a really good match for my experience and qualifications. I was very grateful to Ila for all her help and support; she made what can be a tricky process, easy and stress free.

Even after accepting a position Ila has been a great support, and I'm very pleased with the over all experience.

Teaching Nomad

Excellent company. Very pleasant and helpful staff. They always respond very quickly to emails and are very proactive. They listen to your requirements and don't waste your time. Highly recommend their use. We have used them 2 times to get placements over a 4 year period and they have always had contacts with a decent number of schools so you will always find a suitable position. If you are a teaching couple they are much easier to work with than trawling through endless job adverts in the TES or Guardian.

Josie was a pleasure to work with.

I started my job search a bit late in the school year and I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to find a good job. Josie was incredibly professional and always got back to me promptly. I have just been offered a job with my top pick at an excellent school here in Shanghai. I can recommend Josie and Teaching Nomad without hesitation. Teaching Nomad also deals with very good schools and I was presented with job opportunities that matched my qualifications and experience. I am very grateful for their help. Well done, Josie!

Great assistance by Jacklynn

After my initial intervew with Jacklynn she helped secure an interview very quickly and before I knew it I was offered a teaching job in my dream location.
I didnt think things would move this quickly. She provided the necessary advice and assistance. What more can you ask for?
Thanks Jacklynn for your help. Its greatly appreciated.

Jacklynn at Teaching Nomad is great!

Started searching for a teaching position in China on my own. I knew the area that I wanted to go but struggling to connect with the schools in the area that had open positions. Fortunately I was able to connect with Jacklynn at Teaching Nomad.

Jacklynn steamed lined my search and submitted my application, wasn't long before I was able to connect with a school in my desired area. The whole process was very easy.

Jacklynn is great to work with and very responsive, she takes the time to listen to want you are searching for and provides options that fit well with you skills. Very pleased.

As for the company Nomad, I like the structure in assisting with teacher placements, no contracts or fees so very easy to work with.

I owe everything to Teaching Nomad and my placement consultant

Thanks to Teaching Nomad and my extremely helpful placement consultant, I've landed a good job in Shanghai. Teaching Nomad makes it so much easier on those searching for TEFL/ESL positions. With so much uncertainty out there, it can be easy to be skeptical of many companies. However, Teaching Nomad is as legit as they come! You pay nothing, and they don't stop until you find a job overseas. Period. I'm very excited to begin my new journey. You can trust this company.

What would you improve about this program?
This may sound hard to believe, but in my experience, I have no suggestions for improvement. Things went better than I could have imagined.

teaching nomad, higher end job agents

Had 2 experiences with Teaching Nomad first as a teacher with a job looking to see what was out there and not really seeing much secondly with another agent getting a very good job beyond my expectations. Both experiences were good as the agents were professional and efficient, offering good advice. There is also decent support with information on teaching in China and occasional social activities allowing you to meet other teachers and employers. From my experience they seem to have better positions available and be more professional than the other job search people out there!

What would you improve about this program?
Its pretty good as is to be honest, might include more information on job fairs?

Teaching Nomad Assistance

Ashley Farrell, helped me right from the start. Speaking to her via Skype and emails and support led to me getting my first ESL job. Her support will also continue and that is something that makes the relocation less daunting.

Teaching Nomad/Ashley treated me like a person and not a number. In conclusion; I want to make my experience work it's down to the individual to explain why and what they want to achieve from a teaching opportunity abroad.

What would you improve about this program?
A complimentary present in relation to the programme abroad.

Questions & Answers

At this time, many schools in China are hiring from overseas and feel confident they will be able to secure working visas for overseas hires. We would encourage you to begin getting your documents authenticated now so you are prepared for the visa application.

Hello Erik, most of the English teaching roles posted on our site require candidates from native English speaking countries. However we do have subject teacher positions for non-native speakers if they have experience teaching that subject. We also have TEFL course + job placement opportunities in many countries that don't require the candidates to be native speakers. You can learn more about...

Yes! A teaching degree is not required to teach abroad. In many cases experience and/or a TEFL certification is an adequate qualification. We place couples all the time!

In such a case we would recommend the individual to contact the authorities to report the assault. This would include local police as well as the consulate or Embassy of your country. Of course we would never work with a school or organization that allowed an assault to occur.
